Gas Cylinder Flies into Schoolyard: Smashes Wall

A nitrogen gas cylinder being handled in a recycling yard suddenly launched into the air and flew into a nearby school where it smashed a hole in a concrete wall this morning. Firefighters Complain About Snake and Bee Duties

Firefighters are again protesting that taking care of snakes, bees, and hornets, falls under the jurisdiction of the agricultural bureau, and shouldn’t be the responsibility of local Fire Departments. Backhoes Buried in Demolition Site Collapse

Three backhoe drivers working on a demolition site in Tainan City were lucky to escape with their lives when the ground they were working on collapsed beneath them. The ground crumbled away slowly enough for the operators to jump out of the machines before they toppled over and sank into the more than 3 meter-deep hole.

Construction Fence Collapses: 3 Riders Injured

A construction fence on a Taipei Metro construction site in Banciao collapsed onto Minsheng Road, hitting a taxi and three motorcycle riders. The three injured were sent to Far East Hospital. Strong wind gusts caused the accident which occurred around midday.
