Post-graduate student Chen Haoyang (陳皓揚) was sentenced by the Taipei District Court to 10 months prison commuted to a 350,000NTD fine for the killing of two cats. Chaos reigned outside Taipei District Court today when angry animal lovers attacked a man emerging from the court after being charged with animal cruelty offenses. Police officers and court bailiffs struggled against a crowd of about 50 people as they led Chen Haoyang to a waiting car.
